We are taught to be gentle and hide our strength or even to cultivate charming physical weakness until we start to believe our bodies are weak. Iron teaches us how strong we can be.
Imagine two rowers in a boat – same height, weight, endurance level, technique & experience. The only difference is one woman squats and deadlifts at least 100 pounds more than the other. I’ll argue every time, that the woman with the higher lifts is a stronger rower and can propel the boat further with each stroke.
